Performance Creative, Produced as Test Batches

Hook, angle and format variations planned as a testing structure, produced under an approved scope, and delivered to the team that runs the media.

15 minutes with a producer. You leave with a written scope naming the formats, a delivery date and a fixed price. Prefer to write? Send a one-minute brief.

Concept films · select an example to watch

Concept work, not commissioned client campaigns. These examples show production craft; no advertising performance result is claimed.

Performance creative is ad creative made to be measured: concepts built as testable variables rather than one hero spot. Unreal Media Group produces it as scoped batches of hooks, angles, formats and sizes for paid social and online video, with the testing structure written into the scope before production starts.

What's included

  • Test batches planned around isolated variables
  • Hook, angle, offer, format and length variations
  • UGC-style, product, cinematic and image formats in one batch
  • Files sized and captioned per placement
  • Read-only, revocable reporting access where agreed
  • Handed to your media buyer or in-house team
  • No ad-account access and no performance guarantees

What performance creative is

Brand creative is judged on how it makes an audience feel. Performance creative is judged in the ad account, on what a placement did against its cost. That changes how it is made: a batch is planned around the questions the account needs answered, each variation isolates one of them, and the files are sized and captioned for the placement they will be read in.

Creative testing at scale

A test only teaches something when its variables are isolated. The approved scope names what varies between variations (the hook, the opening frame, the angle, the offer, the format, the length) and what stays fixed, so the account can attribute a result to a decision. The batch is organised so the media team can launch it as a structured test rather than a pile of files.

Iteration without a shoot

Generative production takes the shoot out of the iteration loop. A new hook, a different opening frame or an extra aspect ratio is a production decision rather than a booking decision, so the next batch can be built from what the last one showed. The scope sets the number of concepts and variations in each batch and the cadence of review.

Working from the account's evidence

Where a brand shares what has already run, the batch starts there: the angles that held, the hooks that lost attention, the formats the account never tried. Reporting access, when it is part of an engagement, is read-only and revocable. Performance measurement depends on the campaign, the media plan and the data the brand's team can see.

Working with your media buyer

The batch is handed to whoever runs the media: an in-house team, a buyer or an agency. Coordination, naming conventions and delivery locations are defined in the approved project plan. Unreal never logs in to a client's ad account and never holds budget.

What a batch can include

Creator-style UGC with synthetic, disclosed performers; product films; cinematic cutdowns; static and motion image ads; hook and opening-frame variants of each; caption tracks; and every aspect ratio the placements need. Formats, counts, rights and delivery requirements are listed in the scope.

How the work is produced

  1. Brief and hypotheses

The media team states what it wants to learn from the next batch: which angles, hooks, formats or audiences are in question, and what already runs.

  2. Written scope for the batch

Concepts, variations per concept, formats and aspect ratios, review steps, rights and a fixed price for the batch, approved before production.

  3. Scripts and angles per hypothesis

Each concept is written against one hypothesis so the read-out can attribute what was learned to a decision that was made.

  4. Production of the batch

Takes are generated, selected and cut per variation, with captions and sound, and named so the hypothesis survives into the ad account.

  5. Hand-off to the media team

Finished files, sized per placement, go to whoever buys the media. Unreal holds no budget, sets no targeting and has no ad-account access.

  6. Read-out and the next batch

The brand's team shares what it can about the batch. The next scope is written from that, extending what held up and retiring what did not.

How an engagement works

One scoped batch at a time.

Start
A 15-minute discovery call, then a written scope naming the formats, a delivery date and a fixed price before anything is produced.
Review
A first cut, plus one revision round included. The review checks product, claims and brand fit against your approved references.
Hand-off
Finished, captioned files handed to the team that runs your media. Unreal never logs in to your ad account and never guarantees advertising performance.
Rights and disclosure
Synthetic performers are disclosed as synthetic; no real person's likeness without a written rights agreement. Usage rights are documented in the engagement agreement.

Frequently asked questions

What is performance creative?

Ad creative made to be measured in the account rather than judged on its own: concepts built as testable variables, produced in batches, sized for the placement, and read against cost and outcome by the team running the media.

How is performance creative different from brand creative?

Brand creative optimises for how a piece lands with an audience. Performance creative optimises for what a placement does against its cost, so it is planned as a structured test with isolated variables rather than one finished spot.

How many variations are in a batch?

The count of concepts and variations is set in the approved scope, sized to the account's test plan, the formats involved and the review cadence. No fixed number is promised on this page.

Do you need access to our ad account?

No. Unreal never logs in to a client's ad account. Where reading results is part of an engagement, reporting access is read-only and revocable by you, and the media stays with whoever runs it today.

Can you build from what already works in our account?

Yes. Where a brand shares its creative history, the batch starts from the angles and hooks the account has already read, and the scope records what the next batch is testing and why.

Do you guarantee results?

No. Unreal never guarantees advertising performance. Measurement depends on the campaign, the media plan and the available data, and the scope is written around deliverables rather than outcomes.

How is a performance creative agency different from a performance marketing agency?

A performance marketing agency buys and manages media and often produces creative as a service to that. A performance creative agency produces the creative and hands it to whoever buys the media. Unreal Media Group is the second: it never holds budget, sets targeting or logs in to an ad account, so the only thing it is judged on is the batch.
