A Destination, In Four Seasons

One destination film, four seasonal variants, one production.

A Destination, In Four Seasons

This is a spec scenario, built to show how Unreal Media Group approaches this brief. It is not a client engagement, and no results are claimed. Destination marketing is hostage to the weather window: the shoot happens when the light is right, which means three of the four seasons are sold with footage from the fourth. The brief was to produce all four.

What's included

  • Four seasons from one production
  • Matched to the actual destination
  • Themed cutdowns by traveller intent
  • Vertical crops for social
  • Stills for print and partners

The brief we set

A destination brand film with four seasonal variants, plus themed cutdowns — food, outdoors, culture — sharing one visual language.

The season you sell in

A winter campaign running summer footage is the most common failure in the category, and it costs conversion because it does not answer what the trip will actually be like. Four variants means the campaign matches the season it runs in.

Accuracy to the place

Landmarks, landscape and architecture are matched to references of the actual destination. A composite of somewhere that does not exist is a complaint waiting to arrive.

Themed cutdowns for different intents

The food traveller and the outdoors traveller are different audiences with different search behaviour. Cutting for intent rather than running one film at everyone gives paid something to target with.

What ships

One brand film, four seasonal variants, themed cutdowns, vertical crops, and stills for print and partner use.

Frequently asked questions

Was this made for a real client?+

No. This is spec work — a brief we set ourselves to demonstrate the approach and the production model. The frames are ours. No client is named because there isn't one, and no performance figure is quoted because there is nothing to quote.

Are the locations real?+

They are built to match references of the real destination, and accuracy is checked at review. We do not composite a place that does not exist and present it as somewhere a visitor can go.

What would this cost to make?+

It depends on deliverable count, usage rights, revision rounds and turnaround. Scope is agreed in writing before anything is produced, as a defined batch of work rather than a recurring fee.
