Jewellery, At Macro And At Scale
Collection stills, macro detail and campaign frames from one art direction.

This is a spec scenario, built to show how Unreal Media Group approaches this brief. It is not a client engagement, and no results are claimed. Jewellery is the category where photography is hardest and most necessary: the product is small, reflective, and the purchase is made almost entirely on the image. The brief was to produce a full collection set including the macro detail that usually needs its own specialist day.
What's included
- Campaign, catalogue and macro per piece
- One lighting language across the collection
- Matched to approved stone and metal references
- No specialist macro day
- Crops for PDP, category and paid
The brief we set
A campaign frame, a clean catalogue still and a macro detail for every piece in a collection, in one lighting language.
Reflection is the whole job
Metal and stone photograph as whatever is around them. On a conventional shoot that means tents, flags and hours per piece. Art-directed rather than wrangled, the reflection is a decision, and it is the same decision on every piece in the collection.
Macro without a second production
The detail frame — setting, clasp, hallmark, stone — usually justifies its own day and its own kit. Here it is another output of the same build.
Accuracy at purchase-decision scale
Stone colour, metal tone and proportion are matched to approved references, because at this price point the image is the product until it arrives.
What ships
Campaign frames, clean catalogue stills, macro details, and crops for PDP, category and paid social.

Frequently asked questions
Was this made for a real client?+
No. This is spec work — a brief we set ourselves to demonstrate the approach and the production model. The frames are ours. No client is named because there isn't one, and no performance figure is quoted because there is nothing to quote.
What would this cost to make?+
It depends on deliverable count, usage rights, revision rounds and turnaround. Scope is agreed in writing before anything is produced, as a defined batch of work rather than a recurring fee.
