Every Colourway, Every Room
Catalogue stills and lifestyle frames across a furniture range and its variants.

This is a spec scenario, built to show how Unreal Media Group approaches this brief. It is not a client engagement, and no results are claimed. Furniture photography has a combinatorial problem: pieces times finishes times room settings. Shot conventionally, the answer is always to cover a fraction and let the site swatch the rest. The brief was to cover the matrix instead.
What's included
- Every piece in every finish
- Two consistent room settings
- Matched to approved material references
- Catalogue and lifestyle from one build
- Crops for category, PDP and paid
The brief we set
A catalogue still and a lifestyle frame for every piece in a range, in every available finish, in two room settings.
The matrix nobody shoots
Eight pieces, four finishes and two settings is sixty-four setups. A studio day covers a slice of that, so most sites show one finish photographed and the rest as a swatch — which is the moment a customer stops trusting what they are looking at.
Set builds are art direction, not carpentry
The two room settings are designed once and then hold still. Every piece sits in the same light in the same room, so the range is comparable across a category page rather than assembled from different days.
Material honesty
Finish, grain and texture are matched to the approved material references. A finish that photographs differently to the physical product is a returns problem, so it is checked at review.
What ships
Catalogue stills on clean ground for every piece and finish, two lifestyle frames each, and crops for category, PDP and paid social.

Frequently asked questions
Was this made for a real client?+
No. This is spec work — a brief we set ourselves to demonstrate the approach and the production model. The frames are ours. No client is named because there isn't one, and no performance figure is quoted because there is nothing to quote.
How close is the finish to the real material?+
It is matched to the supplied material references and reviewed before delivery. Where a material cannot be represented faithfully we flag it rather than shipping something a customer would return.
What would this cost to make?+
It depends on deliverable count, usage rights, revision rounds and turnaround. Scope is agreed in writing before anything is produced, as a defined batch of work rather than a recurring fee.
