A Finance App, Explained Six Ways

One explainer, a cutdown per feature, and variants built for a regulated feed.

A Finance App, Explained Six Ways

This is a spec scenario, built to show how Unreal Media Group approaches this brief. It is not a client engagement, and no results are claimed. Consumer finance creative carries a compliance burden that shapes the edit: disclosures, risk warnings, and rules about what an outcome can look like. The brief was to produce an explainer set where the compliance layer is a variant, not a re-edit.

What's included

  • Core explainer plus feature cutdowns
  • Disclosure designed in, not bolted on
  • UI changes are revisions, not reshoots
  • No return or outcome depicted
  • App-store frames from the same build

The brief we set

A core explainer film for a consumer finance app, a cutdown for each headline feature, and paid variants carrying the required disclosure treatments.

Disclosure as a design decision

A risk warning added at the end of an edit looks like a warning added at the end of an edit. Built into the frame from the start, it holds legibility requirements without visually apologising for itself.

The interface is the hero, and it changes

App creative dates the moment the UI ships a new build. Producing the screens from the current approved designs rather than a screen recording means a UI change is a revision, not a reshoot.

No performance implied

Nothing in the set depicts a return, a balance trajectory or an outcome. The creative argues clarity, speed and control — the things the product actually does.

What ships

Core explainer, feature cutdowns, disclosure variants, vertical and square crops, and app-store frames.

Frequently asked questions

Was this made for a real client?+

No. This is spec work — a brief we set ourselves to demonstrate the approach and the production model. The frames are ours. No client is named because there isn't one, and no performance figure is quoted because there is nothing to quote.

Who signs off the compliance treatment?+

The brand's own compliance function. We build to the treatment they specify and the approval sits in the review step before delivery — we do not decide what is compliant on your behalf.

What would this cost to make?+

It depends on deliverable count, usage rights, revision rounds and turnaround. Scope is agreed in writing before anything is produced, as a defined batch of work rather than a recurring fee.
